SPRINGFIELD, MO –– Intuitive Web Solutions, LLC (IWS), an innovative leader in insurance software, recently completed its third annual Service Organization Control (SOC 1, Type 2) Examination with zero exceptions noted for the past year. During the examination a team of Certified Public Accountants tested the company’s 10 control objectives as related to the security, availability, and processing integrity of the BriteCore Insurance Administration system. For several days, auditors worked with BriteCore staff to evaluate any potential risks of using the system.
Scott Blevins, Director of Engineering, comments, “This was definitely our best SOC audit to date. Not only did we design more robust controls regarding the privacy and security of client information, but we also passed the examination of those controls with zero exceptions. This is a tremendous accomplishment. We are very proud of our team for reliably performing their due diligence for the 2015 audit period.”
IWS has undergone the SOC 1 Type 2 Examination since 2013 when the decision was made to engage an experienced accounting and consulting firm to ensure the company’s control objectives were consistent with the needs of IWS clients and their auditors. Since then, IWS has passed every control objective measured by the SOC with only two minor exceptions noted over the three year span.
Even though the SOC examination is extensive, IWS plans to continue evaluating BriteCore’s policies and procedures on a yearly basis. BriteCore CEO, Phil Reynolds states, “BriteCore clients value both security and transparency. Our team aggressively adopts industry best practices, openly disclosing and mitigating risks to secure carrier information. The security and accuracy of data is a top priority for the BriteCore community.”
