Shaw Systems Partners with PassTime to Provide GPS Tracking Solutions

Press Release from Shaw Systems Associates, LLC

Shaw Systems Partners with PassTime to Provide GPS Tracking Solutions

Shaw Systems would like to announce a partnership with PassTime to provide GPS tracking solutions in their  COLLECTIONS software. Shaw’s  COLLECTIONS  clients now have the opportunity to utilize this efficient and cost reducing platform.

PassTime GPS has been in business for more than 25 years in the global transportation industry. Their wireless GPS telematics products are available for multiple sectors of the automotive industry including auto dealers, auto finance companies, auto leasing companies, insurance companies and fleet transportation providers. Their products are available in the USA, Canada, Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. They design, engineer, manufacture and distribute their own products.

Highlights of this new partnership:

  • Workflow Automation  – Shaw clients no longer need to wait for a staff member to determine what the next steps should be with each collections account. Data can be auto-populated and next steps can be automated based on that data with little to no human intervention.
  • Reduced Risk  – With PassTime automation, tasks are performed accurately and on time, regardless of staff workloads and without the risk of human data entry errors.
  • Easy Integration  – Because Shaw has done the integration work clients have a minimal start-up time.

PASSTIME has a GPS device and starter interrupt provider. A new screen, PassTime Device, has been built and added to the vehicles screen that will allow users of PassTime to see where a car currently is, enable a starter interrupt that will prevent the vehicle from starting, turn the car back on and more.

The GPS unit’s starter interrupt works like a timer. The vehicle owner/operator can see how many regular days (no tone when starting car) and warning days (warning tone when starting car) they have left until the vehicle starter interrupt is enabled. Once the starter interrupt is enabled, they can no longer start their car. They would then have to make a payment via any of the available channels (mobile, web, IVR, or CSR phone pay), and once the payment is processed, the car is automatically re-enabled. There are also capabilities to manually operate the GPS starter interrupt and timer functionality directly within the Shaw application.
